How to choose its large flow injectors?


It is sufficient to use the formula for this purpose:

Formula for an atmo engine with gasoline

Injo flow rate (in lb/hr) = (desirable power x 0.45) / (cylinder nbr x duty cycle max injo)

Duty cycle max injo = 0.8

Example for a 2L, 4 cylinders with 250cv:

(250 x 0.45) / (4 x 0.8) = 35.16 lb/hr

Conversion to cc/mn1 lb/r = 10.5cc/mn)

Either 35.16 x 10.5 =369.18cc/mn

Formula for a turbo engine with gasoline

Injo flow rate (in lb/hr) = (desirable power x 0.55) / (cylinder nbr x duty cycle max injo)

Duty cycle max injo = 0.8

Example for a 2L, 4 cylinders with 400cv:

(400 x 0.55) / (4 x 0.8) = 68.75lb/hr

Conversion to cc/mn1 lb/r = 10.5cc/mn)

Either 68.75 x 10.5 =721.87cc/mn

It will therefore be necessary to choose injectors with a flow greater than your result.

Formula for an atmo engine at E85

Injo flow rate (in lb/hr) = (desirable power x 0.65) / (cylinder nbr x duty cycle max injo)

Formula for an E85 turbo engine

Injo flow rate (in lb/hr) = (desirable power x 0.88) / (cylinder nbr x duty cycle max injo)

Conversion of injector flow to pressure:


If you take the 630cc deka4, the flow rate is always given under 3 bars.

But what's the flow rate if I put four gas bars?

New flow rate = 3 bar x √(4bar / 3bar) = 630 x √(4/3) =727.46 cc/mn
